SHARATH CHANDRA
Post-Doctoral Fellow
Sharath Chandra grew up in Hyderabad, India, before attending the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research-Pune in 2010 for his undergraduate studies. In 2015, he joined the Wheeler group at Texas A&M University for his PhD and subsequently moved to University of Georgia in 2017 alongside the Wheeler group. After graduating with a PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Georgia in 2019, he moved to Binghamton to join the Hirschi and Vetticatt groups as a post doctoral associate. His research focus ranges from homogeneous stereoselective catalysis to autocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis. He likes everything science and loves to bug people with random facts and questions. Outside of research, he likes to play table tennis, squash, video games, tennis, baking and doodling.
CHETAN JOSHI
Graduate Student
Chetan is from New Delhi, India. He went to Hindu College, University of India for his Bachelor's and Master's in Organic Chemistry. Later, he joined the CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum as a project fellow and worked on the synthesis of a variety of metal complexes for catalysis. In 2018, Chetan joined Binghamton University's doctoral program. Chetan loves adventure sports and camping in his free time.
KIMBERLY LOYER
Undergraduate Student
Kimberly is from Queens, New York. She attended Archbishop Molloy High School and graduated in the spring of 2019. She started Binghamton University that fall as an undergraduate student majoring in Chemistry. She aspires to attend medical school and become a pediatrician. In her free time she enjoys going on walks with her dog, playing soccer, and volunteering.
SEBASTIAN DE LOS ANGELES
Undergraduate Student
Sebastian is from Bronx, New York. He graduated from the Collegiate Institute for Math and Science in 2019 and is currently a third year undergraduate student at Binghamton University, majoring in chemistry. He hopes to pursue a PhD in physical organic chemistry. In his free time, Sebastian enjoys weightlifting, running, video games, and reading.
